About the Role

Exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Community Venues Team to oversee the day-to-day operation of Council’s Community Venues portfolio.

As this role will be responsible for the overarching operation of the Manningham Function Centre, Civic Centre Meeting Rooms, MC2 Meeting Rooms and 15+ Community Based venues, we are looking for a strong people manager with proven venue operational management experience.

The Supervisor Community Venues will oversee the day-to-day operation, including staff management, of a responsive, modern, and efficient range of Council venues for our community. With no two days the same, you will need to be adaptable and prioritise to the needs of the business. With a mix of administrational and operational tasks, you will establish work practices and rosters to ensure that Council’s venues are serviced efficiently and meet customer expectations. You must be prepared to jump in and assist in operational functions as required and to be successful in this position, you will maintain strong links with our venue hirers, to make sure we are delivering an effective and efficient service.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in staff rostering and/or rostering systems
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities or experience in leading a diverse team
  • A professional with experience in commercial or community venues administration and operations.
  • A clear communicator who can work collaboratively with professionals, clients and community representatives, with strong oral and written communication skills.
